Delta House of Reps lawmaker takes medical outreach to Okpai in Delta

The member representing the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, has launched a comprehensive free medical outreach programme in his home town, Okpai, in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta.
Ezechi while flagging off the programme on Saturday, said the free medical outreach programme, was geared towards improving the health and well-being of his constituents as many hardly had time to attend to their health needs or lacked access to quality healthcare
He expressed gratitude to Omiwa Foundation for providing technical support for the programme, adding that the Foundation’s dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians, particularly in the areas of healthcare and education, was commendable.
The lawmaker noted that some Non-Governmental Organisations could do a lot, in the area of manpower, to support programmes initiated by representatives of the people.
Ezechi added that such partnerships were critical to enhancing the living standards of the people.
He also said that the health and well-being of his constituents were of utmost priority to him, saying that he would have no business being in Abuja if the people who gave him the mandate to represent them could not access quality healthcare.
The medical outreach programme would provide a various services, including free consultations and medications, while a team of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other health workers, will be on ground to attend to patients.
The flag off ceremony was well attended by community leaders, and other stakeholders, who praised the Lawmaker’s efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of his constituents.
