AWLO sets to hold international diaspora summit in Dallas

African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) has announced plan to hold its international diaspora summit in Dallas, Texas USA, from August 2 to August 4, 2024
A statement signed by the Founder and President of AWLO, Dr
Elisha Attai, said it was proud to invite members of the global community to its’ 2024 International Diaspora Summit, holding at Dallas, Texas, USA
Attai said that the theme of the summit: “Investing in Women; Closing the Representation Gap,” was aimed at uniting, empowering and inspiring African women living in diaspora to drive positive change as well as foster development within their communities, by providing platform for collaboration, networking and leadership development.
”This conference aims to unite, empower, and inspire African women living in the diaspora to drive positive change and foster development within their communities.
”By providing a platform for collaboration, networking, and leadership development, the summit aims to harness the potential of African women globally, bridging gaps and creating opportunities for impactful contributions to the social, economic, and cultural advancement of Africa and the world, ” she said.
It also stated that the summit would feature engaging sessions including advocacy dialogue,
Intergenerational dialogue, HeforShe Fire Side Chat, policy dialogue, speed mentoring, exclusive closed-door session with high-level leaders, exhibition, and city tour.
The statement further said that the summit would feature renowned speakers including, Her Excellency Amb Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quad, Amb Dr. Elizabeth Thuiya, Dr. Liza Ekole, Dr Jayne Obioma Onwumere, Mariam Ally, Dr Elisha Attai, Fatoumata Diarra, Atai Albert Akpan, Faith Greaves, Monique Douglas. Pastor Mercy Djenebou Bouare, Dr Angela Harris, Olakunle Soriyan, Justina Anaetoh, and Dr Tanya Jones.
