NDBDA Boss meets Bayelsa stakeholders in Abuja

In a bid to foster collaboration in the Niger Delta region, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), on Thursday, met with  the Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Konbowei, Friday Benson.
Amgbare said that the meeting which is aimed at fostering synergy among  Bayelsa leaders, would also help to enhance accelerating development within the Niger Delta region.
He who noted that NDBDA’s strategic projects were designed to enhance the region’s socio-economic landscape,  emphasised the need to build synergy between federal and state representatives.
The managing director explained that  his vision is leverage on the NDBDA’s resources and expertise to address key issues such as infrastructure development, water resource management, and agricultural productivity among others in the Niger Delta region.
Responding, Senator Benson, who   commended Amgbare for the initiative, reaffirmed his support towards ensuring sustainable growth and improved living standard of the people of Bayelsa Central.
Benson  who also emphasised the importance of keying into the NDBDA’s projects, added that this would help to attract more development to the areas.
Hensardtimes reports that the meeting came up with a roadmap for future collaboration.
The aim of the roadmap is to harness the strength of NDBDA to drive projects that would not only address immediate challenges of the area, but to also the foundation for long-term prosperity in the Niger Delta.
The visit marked a pivotal step towards a more coordinated approach to regional development.
