The Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial district, Sen. Seriake Dickson, has described the appointment of Dame. Didi Walson-Jack (mni), as Head of Service, a fitting tribute to her selfless service and dedication over the years
The former Bayelsa State governor made the statement on his verifiable Facebook handle today, while calling on his people to continue to support and uphold her office and family with prayers.
Sen. Dickson, who on behalf of his family and the people of his Senatorial district, expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, “Heartily congratulates Dame Walson-Jack (mni) on her very well-deserved appointment as Head of Service of the federation..
“It is gratifying to note that her intellect, dedication to duty and commitment to public service has been rewarded by Mr. President, who has appointed her, as the Head of Service of the federation, thus making her the number one civil servant of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, he said.
“This is a fitting tribute to her selfless service and dedication over the years. I have known her closley, and she has worked in several capacities, with a lot of leaders in her long and unblemished public service career.
“I wish her a very successful and productive tenure. I know that she is full of innovation and in addition to being someone with very high standards.
“With her, the federal public service is in safe hands, and it is going to witness a lot of positive changes. While we celebrate her appointment, we must thank God for making this possible”, he added.
Dickson, thanked Mr. President specially, “For the confidence reposed in her. It is a great honour to our state, the Ijaw nation and we all share in this moment of happiness. Dame Didi Walson-Jack is the first Bayelsan to have attained this enviable feat.
“I also thank her husband Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack, her children and members of her family for the support and encouragement she has enjoyed over the years”, he said.
