The Delta House of Assembly on Thursday screened and confirmed the appointment of six additional nominees as commissioners and members of the State Executive Council.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Dennis Guwor announced the confirmation of the nominees during plenary in Asaba.
Gôvernor Sheriff Oborevwori had in a letter, said that the request was in pursuant to the powers conferred on him by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended.
The nominees were called one after the other to answer questions from members of the assembly.
The nominees screened and confirmed include, Mr Sunday Tataobuogwu, Mr Peter Uviejitobor, Mr Val Areyinka, Mr Trakiriowei ThankGod, Mr Ebikeme Clark and Mr Benjamin Okocha.
The speaker congratulated the nominees for their appointment and urged them to work towards achieving the ‘MORE Agenda’s of the governor for the betterment of the people of the state.
