Tinubu returns, signs five MoUs with China

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after his official visit to China and his short stay in the United Kingdom.
This was contained in a statement by the president’s special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
President Tinubu had left Abuja for Beijing, China, on August 29 and started his official visit on Tuesday, September 2.
While in China, President Tinubu reportedly held bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, with five memoranda of understanding signed between Nigeria and China.
He also attended the forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, and in his capacity as chairman of ECOWAS, he delivered a paper on global peace on multilateralism and cooperation as essential ingredients for international peace.
Highlight of Tinubu’s visit to China was a meeting with representatives of Nigerians in the Diaspora organization, China chapter, during which he spoke on the necessity of the reforms being implemented by his government in Nigeria and hoped that they would lead the country to a destination of good roads, constant power, and good schools, like in China.
President Tinubu left Beijing for London, where he met with King Charles III and discussed issues related to climate change and action.
