The Delta State Sports Commission has dissolved the entire structure of Delta Queens Football Club, including the management board, technical crew, and players, due to the team’s poor performance in the Nigeria Women Football League.
A statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Franka Okonma said that the dissolution was part of a strategic restructuring plan aimed at repositioning the club for greater efficiency, professionalism and competitive performance in the Nigeria Women Football League.
According to the statement, a new management and technical structure will be constituted in due course, alongside fresh recruitment, to restore the club’s status as a leading force in Nigeria Women’s Football.
”We remain committed to building a vibrant and successful football culture in Delta State ”, the statement added.
Recall that Delta Queens Football Club failed to make it to the Super 6 in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League following abysmal performances in her group matches.

”This decision effective immediately is part of a strategic restructuring plan aimed at repositioning the club for greater efficiency, professionalism and competitive performance in the Nigeria Women Football Club, ” the statement reads.
