Gov. Otu’s people first agenda transforming Cross River – Commissioner

Cross River Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Victor Idem, has praised Governor Bassey Otu’s administration for reinventing the state’s developmental trajectory.
According to Idem, Otu’s developmental strides since assuming office on May 29, 2023, have positioned the state for greatness.
Idem described Governor Otu as a leader with “deep wisdom, steadfast character and unwavering resilience” who is transforming Cross River into a model of good governance.
He said, ”The governor’s People First Agenda is not just a mere political mantra but a statement of intent and purpose to signpost his enduring love for the people and his commitment to the revitalisation of all sectors of the state economy.”
Idem highlighted the governor’s unprecedented infrastructural rehabilitation and construction projects across all council areas, which he said remain a formidable catalyst to stimulating the state’s economy.
He also noted the governor’s efforts in providing security, capacity building, and job creation for women and youths, aimed at industrialising Cross River.
Idem recently received the Outstanding Leadership and Excellence Award as the best performing Commissioner in Nigeria.
He attributed his diligent work ethics to the exemplary efficiency of Governor Otu and dedicated the award to the governor and the people of Cross River.
Idem expressed surprise at the nationwide recognition, saying, “I am surprised, but I attribute this award to the exemplary efficiency of the governor. I dedicate this award to Governor Bassey Otu and to the people of Cross River.”
The award was bestowed by the Leadership and Professional Ethics Consult in Abuja.
