Integrity group hails Senator Dickson’s impactful representation

The Niger Delta Integrity Group has praised Senator Seriake Dickson as a champion for the people of Nigeria, particularly the Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta Region.
The group made this known during a consultative meeting in Sagbama town, in Bayelsa.
“Dickson’s unwavering commitment to impactful legislation has brought tangible benefits to our nation, from improving healthcare access, true and equitable federalism, taxation, to fostering national economic growth,” said Comrade Jeremiah Okuboebi, Spokesman of the group.
The group noted that Senator Dickson’s deep understanding of the needs of his constituents and his ability to navigate the complexities of the legislative process has made him an invaluable asset to the Nigerian nation beyond his electoral geography.
“He is a national asset and should be insulated from the vagaries and vicissitudes of local politics of zoning,” the group asserted.
The Integrity Group described Senator Dickson as a voice for the voiceless, an advocate for the minorities.
“Champions like Senator Dickson not only influence public policy but add value to the integrity and solidity of the Senate,” the group stated.
The group urged the people of Bayelsa West senatorial district to cast their votes for Senator Dickson in the upcoming elections
so that he could continue his vital work for the betterment of the people of Bayelsa and Nigeria at large.
“Senator Dickson represents a beacon of hope for the marginalised for a brighter future for Nigeria,” the group said.
The Integrity group expressed dismay at a section of constituents pushing for the zoning or rotation principle, arguing that it was a convenient label for mediocrity.
“The incontrovertible truth is that Champions are never replaced. Rewarding outstanding performance is one of the indicators that our democracy is maturing,” the group reiterated.
On his part, the Acting Deputy President of the Group, Barr Caroline Okpe, vowed to mobilise all progressives in Bayelsa State and beyond to support Senator Dickson ahead of the 2027 elections to ensure that he is returned as a consensus candidate of any political platform he chooses to contest.
