Salah wins premier league player of the season for second time

Mohamed Salah has been voted Premier League Player of the Season for the second time after inspiring Liverpool’s march to a record-equalling 20th English title.
The 32-year-old Egyptian superstar scored 28 league goals and produced 18 assists for Liverpool this term.
Salah’s 28 league goals were five more than anyone else in the Premier League this season.
He is two assists off the single-season record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The award was decided by combining public votes with those from a panel of football experts.
Salah previously won the award in the 2017-18 campaign.
He has broken the run of Manchester City players winning the award for the past four seasons.
Salah’s teammate Virgil van Dijk, who won the award in 2018/19, was one of the players he beat in the voting.
Other players who were in the running for the award included Ryan Gravenberch, Declan Rice, Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, and Chris Wood.
Earlier this month, Salah was named the Football Writers’ Association player of the year, securing almost 90 perc ent of the votes.
