Akwa Ibom Police raid criminal hideout, recover 14 sewing machines

The Police Command in Akwa Ibom has apprehended two suspects and recovered stolen property after raiding a criminal hideout in Uyo metropolis.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Timfon John, the breakthrough followed credible intelligence that led police personnel to quickly swing into action. The raid was conducted on May 23 at Udi Street, Uyo.
John said that police recovered 14 sewing machines and a power generator during the operation.
 “Two persons who approached the command have already identified their machines among the recovered items,” she said.
The police spokesman further said that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Baba Azare, is committed to ridding Akwa Ibom of crime and criminals, according to John.
The command’s efforts to combat crime in the state are ongoing, with the CP vowing to ensure that Akwa Ibom remains safe and secure for its residents.
