EFCC’s Crackdown on Internet Fraud: 78 suspects arrested, items seized

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 78 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa, Abia, and Kano States.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, announced the arrests in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
According to Oyewale, 43 suspected internet fraudsters were arrested in Toto, Nasarawa State, following actionable intelligence linking them to fraudulent internet activities.
”Items recovered from them include five motorcycles, 64 mobile phones, four laptop computers, and an iPad.
”In Abia, 30 suspected internet fraudsters were arrested at Ariam and Ubakala, with items such as four cars, one iPad, three laptop computers, and 42 cell phones seized.
‘:In Kano, five suspected cybercriminals were apprehended during a sting operation at Farm Centre, Kano, following intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet fraud and related financial crimes.
”The suspects were arrested alongside their mobile phones. All the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigations .”
