Malik Ado-Ibrahim, the presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 election, has criticised the composition of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, calling for a rejig of the team.
The YPP chieftain said this on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
Ado-Ibrahim says President Tinubu has not been able to translate his vision into reality because of the calibre of persons working with him.
“Now, my own opinion, most of what the president has, as far as his cabinet is concerned, should be refreshed. They’re done.
“There is no knowledge that you can have and just assume that nobody else has it. They’re smarter people than I. I just have an opinion, ” he said.
Ado-Ibrahim expressed concerned that President Tinubu’s cabinet lacked the caliber of persons needed to translate his vision into reality.
He emphasised the need for a plan and competent administrators to implement it.
“I think he needs to have a plan and get those who can implement those plans, not just give a guy a post and say, ‘You’re a health minister, go do healthy stuff.’ You need an administrator,” added.
Ado-Ibrahim’s remarks suggested that President Tinubu’s cabinet needed a refresh to give people more confidence and ensure effective governance.
