Governor Soludo denies consulting native doctor for re-election bid

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has denied allegations that he consulted a native doctor to enhance his re-election prospects in the November 8 governorship election.
The denial comes after a video circulating on social media sparked controversy, with some commentators claiming it showed the governor engaging a traditional doctor.
Soludo in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, described the viral video and publications as “completely false and maliciously fabricated.
He explained that the footage was taken during an event with content creators, where one of the attendees performed a comedic skit involving a native doctor character.
Soludo attributed his confidence in the election to his administration’s track record in economic and creative sector development, as well as the ongoing implementation of the Solution Agenda.
Soludo remained focused on building a livable and prosperous Anambra, with initiatives such as the Solution Fun City project aimed at empowering the entertainment and tourism sectors and diversifying the economy.
His administration is committed to delivering results and improving the lives of Anambra residents.
