Eid-el-Kabir: Oborevwori felicitates Muslims, seeks prayers for Nigeria

Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in the State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
Oborevwori in his Sallah message, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, described Eid-el-Kabir as a season of love, peace, unity, and sacrifice.
He also urged the Islamic faithful to emulate the virtues of Prophet Mohammed by embracing the spirit of sacrifice, love, peace, unity, and togetherness that the Holy Prophet exemplified.
Oborevwori called on Nigerians to promote peaceful coexistence, showing love and compassion to one another regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
He appealed to Muslims and all Nigerians to continue praying for the peace, unity, and progress of the nation, reflecting on the country’s challenges and seeking solutions.
“We must use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to reflect further and pray for our country to overcome the many problems confronting it.
”As a people, we must be patient with government at all levels as we move to consolidate the reigns of governance across the country, ” he said.
He assured Muslims of a peaceful celebration in the State, adding that the government was working closely with security agencies to ensure the safety and harmony of all during and after the festivities.
Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with the Muslim community to advance the State’s development.
He congratulated the Muslim community on the occasion, emphasising the importance of being “our brothers’ keepers” by fostering peaceful coexistence among people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
