Secure govt facilities, Ibas tells traditional rulers

The Rivers Sole Administrator, Vice Adm. Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), has called on traditional rulers to take proactive measures to secure government facilities within their domains.
He made the appeal during the 121st and 122nd quarterly meeting of the State Council of Traditional Rulers in Port Harcourt.
Ibas emphasised the importance of protecting government facilities from theft and vandalism, urging traditional rulers to work together with the government to address community issues.
He highlighted the crucial role traditional rulers play in peacebuilding and called for joint efforts to tackle state challenges, promoting unity and collaboration between government and traditional institutions.
 Ibas assured traditional rulers of his commitment to partnering with them to improve the state’s prosperity and wellbeing.
Responding, Eze Chike Worlu-Wodo, Chairman of the Rivers Council of Traditional Rulers, praised Ibas for his efforts in promoting peace and development in the state, acknowledging the importance of collaboration between traditional rulers and the government.
