Tinubu reiterates commitment to urban development, quality of life

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to urban development and improving the quality of life for residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
President Tinubu made this known while inaugurating the newly constructed Collector Road CN2 (Zakari A. Kyari Street) and other roads in Abuja on Thursday.
The roads, constructed by the FCT Administration, span from Arterial Road N11 (Ahmadu Bello Way) in Mabushi District to Judges Quarters in Katampe District.
Tinubu, represented by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, emphasised that infrastructure development is a crucial investment for national growth and development.
He also highlighted key areas of focus for his administration, including roads, bridges, housing, transportation, education, and healthcare.
He commended FCTA Minister Nyesom Wike and his team for prioritising infrastructure delivery.
Wike noted that the construction of the roads, flagged off in October 2024, was completed in approximately nine months, ahead of the initial 12-month schedule.
He attributed the success to the contractor’s capacity to deliver quality projects on time.
On his part, the FCTA Minister said that the roads would improve mobility, interconnectivity, and the local economy, leading to increased land prices in the area.
He credited the successes in infrastructure delivery to President Tinubu’s continued support.
Also, the Federal Capital Development Authority’s Acting Executive Secretary, Richard Dauda, provided details on the project, including the road’s specifications and the contractor responsible for its execution.
