Delta Assembly marks 2nd anniversary with thanksgiving

The Delta House of Assembly rounded up its 2nd anniversary celebration with a thanksgiving service, expressing gratitude to Almighty God for His blessings and faithfulness all through the last two years. .
The Assembly held the thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Region 24, Unity Model Parish, Asaba.
The Speaker, Mr Dennis Guwor acknowledged the divine guidance and mercies of God, citing 1 Corinthians 4:7, which says, “For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?”
 He emphasised that the Assembly’s achievements were a result of God’s grace and favor.
Guwor reviewed the Assembly’s work, highlighting the passage of 16 bills, with seven passed in the Second Session.
According to him, 15 of these bills have been assented to by Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori.
He also noted the Assembly’s efforts in ensuring accountability, transparency, and good governance in the State.
The speaker thanked his colleagues for their dedication, cooperation, and commitment, and asked for continued prayers as they move into the Third Session of the 8th Assembly.
For the Speaker, without God, we could do nothing, but with Him, we have accomplished much.
