 4 killed, 21 injured in Yobe IED explosion 

A devastating explosion occurred on Friday along the Katarko-Goniri Road in Yobe State’s Gujba Local Government Area, resulting in four deaths and 21 injuries.
The victims, mostly from the Gotala Community, were traveling to the popular Buniyadi market when their vehicle triggered a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The Gotala community is situated near the Sambisa forest, an area notorious for Boko Haram insurgent activities.
Relatives of the victims have urged the Yobe State Government to repair the dilapidated road to prevent further insurgent attacks, which pose a significant risk to local communities and military personnel stationed at Goniri.
Injured individuals are receiving care at Damaturu Specialist Hospital and Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu.
No official statement has been released by the military regarding the incident.
Residents fear for their safety due to the presence of IEDs and insurgent activities in the area.
