Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo, has unveiled the Edo Diaspora Agenda, a strategic initiative aimed at engaging the Edo diaspora community in the state’s development.
This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by Dr. Loretta Ogboro-Okor, Director-General of the Edo Diaspora Agency.
The governor affirmed that no Edo indigene would be left behind, reiterating his commitment that every Edo person matters, regardless of where they reside.
As part of broader economic revitalisation efforts, Okpebholo declared Edo open for investment, calling on the international community and the Edo Diaspora to return and contribute to building a prosperous future.
He also highlighted the state’s rich cultural heritage, asserting that the stories of Edo would be told by its people, boldly and with pride.
The goal, he said, was to promote the state’s unique identity globally, challenge outdated stereotypes, and uphold cultural dignity.
