NNL: Crown FC’s general manager expressed displeasure over refereeing decision

The General Manager of Crown FC, Olumide Olupeju, has expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction with the refereeing in the match between his team and Kun Khalifat FC.
The match ended 1-0 in favour of Kun Khalifat FC, with the winning goal coming from a penalty award that Olupeju described as “controversial”.
In a post-match interview with newsmen, Olupeju faulted the refereeing decision and said that he would challenge it before the management of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
He expressed his disappointment despite the assurances of fair officiating by the chairman of the NNL Board, George Aluo, during the draws ceremony for match fixtures.
Olupeju appealed to the officiating team to ensure fair officiating in the remaining matches to avoid dampening the enthusiasm and high spirits of players.
Despite the initial setback, he expressed confidence in his players and their ability to secure promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
In other matches on day one of the NNL Super Eight Promotion Play-Offs, Barau FC and Yobe Desert Stars FC played out a goalless draw, while Wikki Tourists FC and Doma Utd FC also drew 0-0. Osun United FC emerged victorious in their match against Warri Wolves FC, winning 1-0.
