A Father Figure: Sen. Dickson’s tribute to Hon. Wilson on his 79th birthday
The Senator representing Bayelsa West in the National Assembly, Seriake Dickson, has congratulated Hon. Fyneman Wilson on his 79th birthday, paying tribute to his legacy of service to the Ijaw nation.
The former Governor of Bayelsa in a goodwill message, described Hon. Wilson as a father figure and a pillar of the Ijaw nation, whose contributions to politics and governance spanned nearly five decades.
Senator Dickson said, “It was the 79th birthday of our leader and father, Hon. Fyneman Wilson, who means so much to our people and who is also a father to me
“I wish to first congratulate him on attaining the milestone of 79 and to thank God for his life and for all He has used him to do”, he added.
Dickson further praised Wilson’s enduring legacy in politics and governance, noting that he has been an integral part of government from the old Rivers State to Bayelsa State.
The senator described Hon. Wilson as a mentor whose wisdom and prayers have been instrumental in shaping many leaders, including himself.
Senator Dickson expressed appreciation to Hon. Wilson’s family for their support and peace of mind, which has enabled him to enjoy his old age.
He commended the leaders of the Senatorial District for upholding the values of respect and unity, and for continuing in the tradition of supporting and encouraging their leaders.
Senator Dickson prayed for Hon. Wilson’s continued good health and many more years of service, wishing him a prosperous birthday and many happy returns.
