Chelsea cruises into club world cup final

Chelsea secured a spot in the final of the Club World Cup with a 2-0 win over Fluminense on Tuesday.
New signing, Joao Pedro, scored both goals, making his first start for the Blues after joining from Brighton and Hove Albion for £60 million.
The Brazilian striker scored two stunning goals, including a 18th-minute opener where he curled a shot past veteran goalkeeper Fabio, and a 56th-minute finish off the bar after being released by Enzo Fernandez on the break.
The Premier League side dominated the game, accumulating 53 per cent ball possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities, including chances for Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer.
Fluminense had intermittent threats, with Hercules almost equalizing in the 25th minute, but Marc Cucurella cleared off the line. A penalty claim was also overturned after a VAR check.
Chelsea’s win sets up a final against either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, guaranteeing a European winner for the tournament.
Chelsea claimed back-to-back victories against Brazilian opposition, having beaten Palmeiras 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
Coach Enzo Maresca, expressed happiness about reaching the final, highlighting the team’s fantastic season, including their top-four finish in the league and UEFA Conference League title.
Fluminense Coach Renato Portaluppi, acknowledged the enormous difference in budget between Fluminense and the other teams, saying they leave the tournament stronger than before.
