Ganduje inaugurated as FAAN board chairman

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency, Abdullahi Ganduje, has been inaugurated as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The inauguration ceremony was held in Abuja on Wednesday, weeks after Ganduje resigned as APC National Chairman.
The former Kano State governor’s inauguration as FAAN Board Chairman was announced by Gbenga Saka, Special Adviser on Digital Media to the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, who posted a video of the ceremony on his X handle.
Earlier, Ganduje’s resignation as APC Chairman was announced in a statement by the party’s spokesman, Felix Morka, who cited personal reasons.
Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, took over the APC chairmanship reins in August 2023 before his resignation.
President Bola Tinubu had appointed Ganduje as FAAN Board Chairman in January, and his inauguration marks the beginning of his new role.
The appointment is expected to bring Ganduje’s leadership experience to the aviation sector, as FAAN works to improve airport operations and services across Nigeria.
The party appointed Ali Dalori as the interim leader pending a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to fill the vacancy.
