Indigenous oil, gas investors summit to feature prominent women in energy

The upcoming Indigenous Oil & Gas Investors Summit, scheduled for July 23-24, 2025, at Bickley Park Waterfront Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, is set to feature two of Nigeria’s most accomplished women in the oil and gas industry as guest speakers.
Chairperson/CEO of Brittania-U Nigeria Limited, Chief Mrs. Uju Ifejika, and Managing Director of Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited, Mrs. Winifred Akpani, will lead a powerful session focused on “The Challenges and Triumphs of Women in the Oil and Gas Sector.”
The summit’s theme: “Local Vision, Global Impact: The Future of Oil and Gas Investment in Nigeria,” highlighted the critical role women play in driving innovation, resilience, and indigenous growth in Nigeria’s energy landscape.
Chief Ifejika and Mrs. Akpani’s participation would underscore the importance of women’s contributions to the industry and provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities they face.
According to Wenefred Odunze, Summit Coordinator, these trailblazing women have not only broken barriers in a male-dominated industry but have also built legacies that continue to inspire the next generation of energy leaders.
”Their voices will enrich the summit’s dialogue on inclusive development, local capacity building, and the future of indigenous investment in Nigeria. ”
Media partners, stakeholders, and interested participants are encouraged to register early for the summit, as attendance is expected to be robust.
The summit would provide a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the future of oil and gas investment in Nigeria and explore opportunities for growth and development.
