Joint security forces neutralize 30 bandits in Katsina State

A joint operation by the police and military personnel, on Tuesday, resulted in the neutralisation of 30 bandits who had attacked the communities of Kadisau, Raudama, and Sabon Layi in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Unfortunately, the operation came at a cost, with three Mobile Police Force personnel and two soldiers losing their lives, and one officer, Ya’u Aliyu, sustaining injuries.
The Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Hon. Nasir Mua’zu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Hon. Mua’zu, extended the State government’s deepest condolences to the families of the fallen heroes and residents of the affected communities.
Mua’zu assured the residents of the State of Governor Dikko Radda’s administration’s unwavering commitment to crush banditry and restore lasting peace to the state.
The commissioner called on all residents to remain vigilant and continue providing timely information to security agencies, adding that investigation into the attacks continued.
Mua’zu also pledged to provide updates as they become available, assuring that the government would not rest until every criminal element was eliminated from the state.
He further expressed the government’s determination to overcome the challenges posed by banditry, saying, “together, we will overcome these challenges and build a safer Katsina State for all.”
The security operations are being intensified, with federal security agencies working tirelessly to ensure the safety of all citizens.
