NDDC’s challenges stem from disunity among mgt team members – Akpabio

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has attributed the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) challenges to disunity among its management team members.
Senator Akpabio made this revelation during the grand finale of the NDDC’s 25th anniversary celebration held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to Akpabio, “The disunity has hindered the agency’s progress and effectiveness in delivering its mandate to the people of the Niger Delta region.
“Leadership changes have also contributed to the abandonment of numerous projects, with over 17,500 projects reportedly left unfinished”, he said.
Akpabio highlighted the need for unity and stability in the leadership of the NDDC to drive development and progress in the region.
The NDDC’s 25th anniversary celebration provided a platform for stakeholders to reflect on the agency’s achievements and challenges over the years.
Akpabio’s speech served as a call to action for the NDDC’s management team to put aside their differences and work towards achieving the agency’s goals.
The abandonment of over 17,500 projects is a significant concern, as it suggests that the NDDC’s efforts to develop the Niger Delta region have been hampered by leadership changes and disunity.
