Farouk Aliyu, a close ally of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed disappointment over Nigerians insulting Buhari online after his death.
The former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Monday.
Aliyu said it was unfortunate that people were criticising the former president despite his contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development.
He emphasised that everyone has shortcomings, and Buhari should be respected for his achievements.
Aliyu urged Nigerians to show respect for the deceased, particularly those who held high office.
He acknowledges Buhari’s flaws but highlighted his positive contributions.
