Usigbe: PDP extends condolences to Nigerian Tribune staff

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed profound sadness over the passing of Usigbe, a renowned journalist with Nigerian Tribune.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja, the party described Usigbe as a dazzling, highly experienced, and quintessential journalist.
The party’s leadership and members extend their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. Usigbe’s dedication to journalistic excellence and his contributions to the media landscape will be deeply missed.
“Usigbe was a courageous journalist who stood for justice, fairness, and strict adherence to the rule of law.
He fearlessly spoke truth to power through his reporting, opinions, and incisive commentaries,” Ologunagba said.
He added that the PDP would always remember Usigbe for his professional composure, affable disposition, and excellent working relationship as a correspondent of the Nigerian Tribune covering the PDP.
Ologunagba also expressed the party’s condolences to the management and staff of the Nigerian Tribune, the PDP Press Corps, and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
“The PDP mourns his passing; our prayers and hearts go out to his widow and children during this moment of grief.
“We pray to God to send the Comforter to console them with His abiding presence and grace,” he said.
He prayed to God to grant Usigbe eternal rest and to give his family, colleagues, and friends the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss
