A tragic incident occurred in the Onigbara River community of Odigbo Local Government Area in Ondo State, where a man named Daniel allegedly killed his brother, Emmanuel, during an argument.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving residents in a state of fear and mourning.
A resident of the community who pleaded anonymity, said the reason for the incident could not be ascertained.
“Till now, we don’t know what actually transpired between them that could have led him to kill his brother,” the resident said.
Further findings also revealed that the brothers are sons of a community police officer, popularly known as Awilo.
DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone.
“The Commissioner of Police has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID), Akure, for further and thorough investigation,” Ayanlade said.
