Adesua Etomi-Wellington opens up about her life, career

Adesua Etomi-Wellington, one of Nollywood’s most talented actresses, has shared her inspiring story of passion, perseverance, and triumph.
Born on February 22, 1988, in Owerri, Imo State, Etomi-Wellington proudly hails from Edo State and boasts a multicultural background, with her mother being Yoruba and her father a soldier.
Etomi-Wellington’s journey into the arts began with her studying drama in the UK, where she graduated with first-class honours.
She started her acting career in theatre before making a seamless transition to Nollywood.
Her breakthrough role in the movie “Falling” propelled her to stardom, followed by blockbuster films like “The Wedding Party,” “King of Boys,” and “Sugar Rush.”
Beyond her acting career, Etomi-Wellington has ventured into music and entrepreneurship, co-founding Sanaa Beauty with her friend Jemima Osunde.
In her personal life, she is happily married to Banky W, with whom she shares two beautiful children.

”I began my acting career in theatre before transitioning to Nollywood, where my breakthrough role in “Falling” catapulted me to stardom.
”Since then, I’ve had the privilege of starring in hit films like “The Wedding Party,” “King of Boys,” and “Sugar Rush.”
”Beyond acting, I’ve explored music and entrepreneurship, co-founding Sanaa Beauty with my friend Jemima Osunde.
”My personal life is filled with love and joy, thanks to my husband, Banky W, whom I married in 2017, and our two beautiful children.
