One-term politicians need psychiatric help – Soludo

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra, has sparked controversy by saying that any politician offering to serve for only one term in office needs psychiatric examination.
Governor Soludo made this remark during an endorsement rally in support of his second-term bid, challenging proponents of the one-term notion to provide examples of where it has been successfully implemented.
Soludo emphasised that the Nigerian Constitution allowed for two terms in office, suggesting that politicians should aim to serve within this framework, just as he dared anyone supporting the one-term concept to provide evidence of its success anywhere.
By advocating for more than one term, Soludo positions himself in favour of continuity and experience in governance, reflecting his own ambition for a second term.
