Gov. Oborevwori seeks prayers, support for government’s success

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, has pledged to continue serving the people of Delta according to God’s will.
The Oborevwori said this at the Heroes of Faith Ministries, Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area, where he worshipped on Sunday.
He said he was in the church to listen to the word of God were evident in his decision to visit the church without prior announcement.
The Governor called for support from the people, particularly in praying for the government to succeed, saying “Continue to pray for us to succeed, especially those of us in power, so that we are not distracted.”
Goverbor Oborevwori expressed his commitment to serving the people of the State, citing his government’s efforts to deliver development projects and improve the lives of the under his ‘MORE agenda’.
Oborevwori thanked Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi for his support and endorsement during the 2023 election, despite facing criticism from some quarters.
He said: “People criticized you that you were a betrayal because you followed God and openly supported me”.
The Governor highlighted the flyover projects and other development strides across the State as evidence of his government’s commitment to delivering tangible results.
”The evidence today is the flyover. When you are talking, you will say that the person God led me to support brought this flyover, and people will respect you more because you did the right thing”, he said.
Earlier, Bishop Enakirerhi praised the governor’s impressive infrastructural development initiatives across the State, describing him as a man of speed who matches his words with action.
Enakirerhi commended governor Oborevwori for being a detribalised Deltan who has transcended ethnic boundaries to serve the people.
He described the governor’s leadership as result-oriented, citing the recent approval for the construction of a flyover at Otovwodo junction in Ughelli as a testament to his commitment to development.
In a sermon titled “Living for Christ” the Bishop called for repentance, calling those still perpetuating evil and wickedness to encounter Crist.
The Bishop prayed for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, asking for God’s guidance and blessings as they work towards more development and progress.
