Audu Ogbeh: Shettima leads presidential delegation

Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Monday led a Federal Government delegation on a condolence visit to the family of the late former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 78.
Ogbeh, who served as National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2001 to 2005, was remembered for his significant contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural development.
Shettima described Ogbeh’s passing as “an irreparable loss to Nigeria’s agricultural transformation drive and national development trajectory”.
He emphasised that Ogbeh’s legacy in agricultural development would forever be etched in the nation’s history.
Shettima hailed Ogbeh as a transformational leader whose impact transcended political affiliations and regional boundaries.
He noted that Ogbeh’s work offered a blueprint for sustainable agricultural development in Nigeria.
The vice president highlighted Ogbeh’s integrity, dedication, and commitment to rural development, saying that millions of farming households benefited from his initiatives and vision.
Shettima prayed for the repose of Ogbeh’s soul, saying, “I pray that Almighty Allah will forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
”May Allah also grant the family, the government, and people of Benue State, and indeed the entire nation, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
Shettima conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s heartfelt condolences to the family, government, and people of Benue State, emphasizing the nation’s loss of a visionary leader.
