Peter Obi won’t get presidential ticket of PDP, ADC, LP – Daniel Bwala

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has expressed confidence that, Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, will not secure the presidential ticket of the Labour Party (LP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Bwala made this assertion on Wednesday on Channels Television’s Politics Today, saying that Obi’s popularity has waned significantly due to his reliance on rhetoric and division rather than agenda-driven politics.
Bwala said that Obi has lost over 50 per cent of his votes because his campaign was built on divisive rhetoric rather than concrete policies.
Obi’s presidential aspirations seemed unlikely to materialise, with Bwala suggesting he might not even secure a vice-presidential ticket.
Obi, who was the presidential candidate of the LP in the 2023 poll, came second with 6,101,533 votes, behind Tinubu’s 8,794,726 votes, according to the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
But Bwala, said Obi would not only lose out in the race for the presidential tickets of the three parties but may also not emerge as a running mate
Bwala remained optimistic about President Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 polls, asserting that no politician can defeat him.
Bwala’s comments come amid shifting political alliances and speculations about potential candidates for the 2027 elections.
Some notable figures exploring presidential bids include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Meanwhile, Obi’s recent appearance campaigning for an ADC candidate has sparked discussions about potential cross-party collaborations.
