2027 Elections: Marafa warns Tinubu of vote reduction

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Kabiru Marafa, has vowed to strip President Bola Tinubu of at least one million votes in the 2027 general elections.
Senator Marafa disclosed this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Monday.
“I am going to deduct one million votes out of Mr President’s votes that he got in 2023. Mark my words. 2027 is going to determine who is a featherweight,” Marafa said.
He emphasised his determination to work towards achieving the goal.
Marafa, who recently resigned from the APC, cited disenchantment with the party’s treatment of Zamfara State as a major reason for his decision.
He also claimed that despite being one of the two states in the North-West zone delivered by the APC in the 2023 presidential election, Zamfara received only one ministerial slot, unlike other states in the region.
The former senator accused President Tinubu of adopting a “use-and-dump” style of politics, sidelining key northern figures like himself, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
