Gov. Oborevwori felicitates Muslims on Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has extended his warm congratulations to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori urged Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings, emphasising peace, love, tolerance, humility, and selfless service to humanity.
The governor highlighted the importance of unity and social cohesion in the country, calling on Nigerians of all faiths to adopt these values for the nation’s progress and stability.
“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, let us be reminded that our strength as a people lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Delta and Nigeria,” he stated.
Oborevwori commended the Muslim community in Delta for their contributions to the state’s growth, peace, and unity.
He assured that his administration would continue to promote policies that foster religious harmony, inclusiveness, and mutual respect among all faiths.
The governor encouraged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings and pray for the nation’s peace and prosperity.
He wished the Muslim faithful a joyful and hitch-free celebration, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving a brighter future for Delta State and Nigeria.
