Leaders in Bayelsa West reject zoning arrangement, endorse Dickson

Despite the heavy rainfall, community leaders from across Bayelsa West Senatorial District gathered to show their unwavering support for Senator Henry Seriake Dickson.
The leaders, comprising Community Development Committee (CDC) chairmen from Ekeremor and Sagbama local government areas, unanimously endorsed Senator Dickson for his exceptional representation and tireless advocacy for the Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta region.
In Ekeremor, the Ofurumapepe Community Leaders Forum was inaugurated in Isampou community, marking a significant milestone in the district’s political history.
The forum aimed to mobilize grassroots support for Senator Dickson, who has been praised for his commitment to advancing the interests of the Ijaw Nation.
Similarly, in Sagbama, CDC chairmen convened in Toru-Orua and passed a vote of confidence in Senator Dickson.
They dismissed zoning arrangements for National Assembly seats, urging him to seek re-election and continue representing the people of Bayelsa West in the Senate.
The community leaders hailed Senator Dickson as a nationalist and a champion of democracy, citing his efforts to address the region’s challenges.
They described him as “the voice of the Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta”, noting his consistent advocacy on issues affecting the region.
