Nigeria’s First Lady meets Qatari Ambassador, seeks global peace

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged nations to prioritise peace and mutual understanding amidst rising global tensions.
She made the call during a closed-door meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, at her office in Abuja on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Her words: “We must continue to pray for a world filled with peace and stand firmly against the provocations of war.
“Peace, as espoused by major religions, is close to the heart of God, ” she added.
The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships between the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
Ambassador Al-Hajri expressed gratitude to Mrs. Tinubu and the Nigerian people for their support and call for global peace during this difficult time.
