Commissioner reaffirms Oborevwori’s commitment to fairness, peace, inclusive development

Delta Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu, has assured Deltans that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration remained committed to its development agenda despite political attacks and false narratives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a press briefings alongside the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Tuesday in Asaba, Aniagwu emphasised the government’s focus on delivering its four-point agenda centered on peace, security, meaningful development, and reforms.

“But our commitment to building a Delta that is peaceful, inclusive, and investment-friendly remains unwavering, ” he said.
He noted projects were spread across all senatorial districts and federal constituencies to foster unity and progress.
Aniagwu added that Oborevwori-led administration had kept schools functional despite nationwide strikes, undertaken massive road construction, and implemented social investment programs for job creation.

Aniagwu dismissed claims of bias, saying Oborevwori’s governance style valued all Deltans equally, with development projects and appointments cutting across the state’s 25 local government areas.
The commissioner urged political actors to support the administration’s developmental drive and set aside divisive tendencies.
