Nigeria must stay united to overcome challenges, says Akpabio

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has called on Nigerians to remain united in the face of current challenges, expressing confidence that the nation will soon overcome its difficulties.
Senator Akpabio made the appeal while representing President Bola Tinubu at a special Sunday service at the National Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abuja, marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
According to him, “The President has asked me to let you know on this 65th anniversary, and the principal word is unity.
“Nigeria must remain united. We shall be there. The foes you see today, you shall soon see them no more. There is no need to hate one another. Let love lead. We are all one. If we unite together, there is nothing we cannot achieve”, he added
Akpabio emphasised the importance of national unity and citizens’ support for government policies.
He alao said that Nigeria must remain united, stressing that “the foes you see today, you shall soon see them no more.”
He further urged Nigerians to let love lead and work together towards the country’s progress, unity, and peace.
The Senate President reaffirmed his commitment to Nigeria’s prosperity, unity, and peace.
He expressed confidence that the nation’s current challenges will soon end and that Nigeria will fulfill its destiny.
Akpabio cited Psalm 46, noting that despite its challenges, Nigeria has remained strong and resilient, with “God’s hand” guiding the nation.
Akpabio’s call for unity was echoed by other prominent figures, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Wale Oke.
They emphasised the need for unity among Nigerians to overcome the country’s challenges.
Akpabio’s message is seen as a beacon of hope for Nigerians, urging them to stay united and focused on a brighter future.
His words highlight the importance of perseverance and the nation’s indomitable spirit in overcoming adversity.
