Nigeria@ 65: Speaker Abbas urges Nigerians to focus on bright future

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated Nigerians and urged them to focus on the bright future ahead.
In a congratulatory message signed by his media aide, Leke Baiyewu, Rt. Hon. Abbas highlighted Nigeria’s progress through its complex history and expressed confidence that the nation is poised for greater unity and prosperity.
The speaker emphasised the importance of collective efforts by all stakeholders towards building “a nation of our dreams, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences.”
Abbas praised the ongoing Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, describing it as a path that keeps Nigeria on course toward growth.
Abbas expressed optimism that Nigeria would retain its status as the “Giant of Africa” and reclaim its position as the largest economy on the continent.
He encouraged Nigerians to remain resilient, law-abiding, patriotic, and prayerful despite existing security and socio-economic challenges.
The speaker assured Nigerians of the 10th House of Representatives’ commitment to delivering accountable leadership, good governance, and tangible dividends of democracy, particularly at the grassroots level.
