Nigeria@65: Delta speaker urges collective action for progress
The Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dennis Guwor, has emphasised the need for collective action towards achieving a just, equitable, and prosperous nation.
Rt. Hon. Guwor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, on Wednesday in Asaba, stressed that every stakeholder has a role to play in building a brighter Nigeria.
Guwor who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, highlighted the importance of unity and stability in driving national progress.
He alao emphasised peace and respect for the rule of law as essentials for sustainable development.
The speaker reflected on Nigeria’s journey in six and half decades, emphasizing the need for sober reflection on the nation’s past and what lies ahead.
The speaker further assured that the 8th Delta Assembly would sustain its collaborative spirit with other arms of government to enhance good governance, inclusivity, and development in the state.
Guwor commended Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s visionary leadership and urged Nigerians, particularly the people of Delta, to renew their faith in the nation.
The speaker emphasised the importance of hard work, quality education, and opportunities for all in achieving a greater nation, while urging the youth to remain hopeful, innovative, and engaged.
