Gôvernor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has approved the 100 per cent implementation of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for state health workers, with immediate effect.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Mrs. Theodora Igwegbe, and made available to journalists on Thursday in Awka.
According to the statement, the governor approved the CONHESS for nurses, nurse anesthetists, psychiatric nurses, community health workers and technicians.
Others are medical laboratory technicians, medical laboratory scientists, radiographers and physiotherapists.
It said the approval also extended to all relevant ministries, departments and agencies, including the Local Government Service Commission.
The statement added that all relevant bodies had been directed to commence implementation without delay.
“The Accountant-General of the State and the Accountant-General for Local Government have been directed to ensure the immediate execution of this directive.
“All concerned parties are to ensure strict compliance,” the statement said.
