Group backs Tinubu, Oborevwori for 2027, urges unity

A leading political advocacy group, NdokwaForward, has thrown its weight behind the recent endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, describing the move as timely and necessary for Nigeria’s continued progress.

In a joint statement signed by its leader Hon. Sam Osasa, Coordinator Dr. George Ugbomah, and adviser Chief Isaac Onyesom, the group praised the APC for what it called “a decisive show of political foresight and unity.”

“This endorsement shows the party understands the value of stability and continuity.

“It sends a clear message that competent, result-driven leadership must be sustained, ” the group said.

They highlighted the growing bond between Governor Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, calling their partnership a productive one that has brought real impact to communities across Delta State.

The group noted that Onyeme’s role as Deputy Governor has been pivotal, especially given his administrative experience and community-focused leadership.

“Sir Onyeme remains an asset to this administration. His performance reflects a deep commitment to development, especially in underserved areas,” the statement read.

Beyond the endorsement, NdokwaForward called on political actors to embrace inclusive governance that uplifts all regions of the state—particularly the Ndokwa area, which the group represents.

It stressed that the voices of every community must be heard and their needs addressed through collaborative leadership.

“We are committed to working with like-minded stakeholders to ensure equitable development for Ndokwa people and all of Delta,” the group said.

The endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori comes as political discussions around 2027 begin to gain momentum, with several party stakeholders across the country signaling support for continued leadership under proven hands.

NdokwaForward congratulated both leaders and pledging its ongoing support for their administration.

“We believe they represent the best path forward for both Delta and Nigeria. Their re-election would build on the solid foundation already laid, ” the statement said.
