NASS endorses Nigeria’s hosting of World Public Relations Forum

The Senate Arm of the 10th National Assembly has endorsed Nigeria’s hosting of the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), tagged ”Abuja 2026” and commended the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market, Senator Osita Izunaso, endorsed the forthcoming event at the unveiling of the WPRF Abuja 2026 ceremony in Abuja.
The event is organised by Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management in partnership with NIPR.
Izunaso assured that the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas, would attend the event.
According to him, the event has the potential to project the good image of Nigeria to the international community.
He further explained that since the event would hold at the Eagle Square, it would be a thing of pride if the Federal Secretariat was given a face lift to showcase the true beautiful image of Nigeria.
The lawmaker also tasked the Minister of Aviation, Mr Festus Keyamo to ensure that officers of the Nigerian Custom Service and other officials at the airport put on the true patriotic Nigerian behaviour characterised by love, honesty, sincerity, hospitality and humility.
“These are some of the areas that I would like you to address, because people are coming in from outside the country.
“I must commend the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris for the love and concern he had showed to NIPR. Nobody has shown that love before.
“Idris is the engine room of NIPR and I urge you to showcase Nigeria as a nation, come November, 2026,” Izunaso said.
