Oborevwori celebrates Uduaghan at 71, hails his Legacy of service

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, has extended warm felicitations to former Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, on the occasion of his 71st birthday, describing him as a visionary leader and distinguished statesman.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori commended Dr. Uduaghan for his outstanding contributions to the growth and stability of Delta State and the nation.
He also praised the former governor’s exemplary record in public service, highlighting his achievements in key sectors such as healthcare, education, and human capital development during his tenure from 2007 to 2015.
“Dr. Uduaghan’s legacy is firmly etched in the history of our state. His efforts in consolidating peace, promoting unity, and expanding opportunities for our people have continued to resonate across Delta,” the governor stated.
Oborevwori noted that the former governor remained a highly respected figure in the state’s political landscape and an inspiration to younger generations of leaders.
“As a former governor, his vision, dedication, and selfless service continue to guide and influence our collective drive toward sustainable development,” he added.
The Governor offered prayers for Uduaghan’s continued good health, wisdom, and strength, expressing confidence that he would remain a valuable resource in efforts to advance the progress of Delta State and Nigeria.

Dr. Uduaghan, a medical doctor by training, served as Commissioner for Health and Secretary to the State Government before becoming Governor.
His tenure is widely credited for pioneering policies that significantly boosted the state’s health and education systems.
