Group applauds Delta commissioner for remarkable performance

The Ughelli South United Forum (USUF) has praised the exceptional performance of Hon. Rueben Izeze, Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Delta State, for his dedication and effective service delivery since assuming office.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Forum’s Chairman, Ambassador Godwin Okporoko, who also serves as the Executive Assistant on Security Matters to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, commended Izeze for his “unwavering commitment, competence, and leadership” in advancing infrastructural development across the state.
Okporoko noted that since his appointment in August 2023, Izeze has demonstrated exceptional administrative and technical capacity, contributing significantly to the realization of Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda — which focuses on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
“We are very proud of the impressive performance of Hon. Rueben Izeze.
”His work in driving the Governor’s developmental vision is visible and commendable,” the statement read.
The Forum also expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing Izeze into the State Executive Council, describing the choice as a testament to the Governor’s keen judgment and appreciation of merit.
According to the group, the Oborevwori administration has continued to implement people-oriented projects across the state, ensuring that residents enjoy tangible dividends of democracy.
“The Governor’s decision to entrust Hon. Izeze with such a critical ministry reflects his confidence in capable leadership, and the results are already evident in the transformation of Delta’s road infrastructure,” the statement added.
The group also applauded Izeze for being a worthy representative of the Ughelli South Local Government Area in the State Executive Council.
They noted that his hands-on approach, regular inspection of ongoing projects, and passion for service have earned him widespread respect.
The statement also highlighted Izeze’s numerous empowerment initiatives, which have continued to uplift individuals and communities within Delta and beyond, underscoring his commitment to inclusive growth and human capacity development.
