Security expert criticises global figures for using Nigeria’s insecurity politically

Bulama Bukarti, a security analyst and lawyer, has expressed concern over the worsening security situation in Nigeria, particularly following the attack on the Government Comprehensive Girls Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, where 25 schoolgirls were abducted.

During an interview on Channels Television Politics Today on Wednesday, Bukarti criticised international figures, including U.S. President Donald Trump and rapper Nicki Minaj, for allegedly using Nigeria’s insecurity for entertainment or political leverage.

He called for a united domestic effort to address the country’s security challenges rather than allowing the issue to be exploited internationally.

Bukarti emphasised that the ongoing insecurity affects not just the victims but the nation’s global image, urging authorities to implement effective measures to protect citizens.
