Air Peace donates N10m, laptops, scholarships to support vulnerable students in Kuje

Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading private airline, has launched education-focused intervention at the KNOSK 100-Naira-A-Day Secondary School in Kuje, Abuja, donating N10 million, laptops, and fully funded scholarships to help vulnerable students access digital learning tools and examination support.
The support package includes 20 fully funded annual scholarships for students unable to afford the N240,000 yearly tuition and 10 new laptops valued at N5 million to enhance the school’s ICT capabilities.
The donation aimed to advance KNOSK’s goal of becoming a fully functional Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre, ensuring students gain proficiency in digital examinations ahead of WAEC’s transition to CBT.
Established in 2019 with only 30 learners, KNOSK has grown to serve more than 180 students, many from families unable to afford even the symbolic N100 daily tuition.
Despite these challenges, the school has achieved impressive academic outcomes, including a 100 per cent WAEC pass rate for its first graduating class and multiple students scoring above 200 in JAMB examinations.
The School administrators and Co-founder Kingsley Bangwell,
described Air Peace’s intervention as a landmark moment.
“Although we have received support from countries such as Ireland, Finland, and the United States, no major Nigerian corporate entity has partnered with us at this scale until now,” he said.
His wife and fellow co-founder, Irene Bangwell, added that Air Peace Chairman Dr. Allen Onyema served as an inspiring role model for the students, embodying the courage, resilience, and boldness the school seeks to instill.
During the presentation, Air Peace Communications Analyst Hawa Alege praised the students for their determination.
“We are proud to support this remarkable project, a place where hope, determination, and hard work are constant.
”These children continue to dream boldly despite the challenges they face, and we look forward to seeing them achieve extraordinary things,” she said.
Students expressed gratitude for the support.
Senior Secondary 3 student, Patience Omuata, one of the scholarship beneficiaries, said, “Our parents might not be able to afford the fees, but Air Peace has given 20 of us the gift of education.
”On behalf of KNOSK students, we thank Mr. Allen Onyema for being a father to children like us.”
Another student, SS1 learner Vivian Odizwe, highlighted the laptops’ significance: “WAEC will soon become CBT.
”The school needed 40 laptops, and Air Peace has helped us move closer to that goal.
”Now we can practise, write exams, and build digital skills.”
This intervention builds on Air Peace’s ongoing humanitarian commitments, which include evacuating stranded Nigerians abroad and supporting vulnerable communities.
Earlier in 2025, the airline partnered with Raising Star Africa to provide educational materials and grants to children living with disabilities during Children’s Day celebrations.
With its intervention at KNOSK, Air Peace underscored its commitment to social responsibility, combining aviation leadership with efforts to widen educational opportunities for young Nigerians.
